Kindergarten Enrollment MN Department of Education

All Children at least 5 years old on September 1 of the year of entrance can be enrolled in kindergarten! Eligibility for kindergarten is based on age, not ability, knowledge, or skill. Learn more information by accessing the official MN Department of Education website below!

Homelessness is a serious issue across the country, Adults and children in families make up about 30 percent of the homeless population. The state of Minnesota has a variety of resources for families across the state. Parent Aware has compiled a list of resources for families.

Paying for Child Care 

Have questions on how to pay for child care? Financial aid and tax relief plans are in place to help families afford child care. From Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), Early Learning Scholarships, Minnesota Postsecondary Child Care Grant Program, Federal Earn Income Credit, and the Minnesota Working Family Credit. A variety of resources are available for families across the state. Parent Aware has compiled an efficient list of resources.
